A Proven Record

As mayor of San Diego, Kevin Faulconer led the fight to eliminate restrictions on housing development and called for the streamlining of the approvals process for building new housing to combat the city’s housing crises and reduce homelessness.

As mayor, he increased city funding for the homeless and successfully secured additional state funding to help get unhoused citizens safe shelter and additional public health services.

Kevin Faulconer supported policies that prioritized mental health and human services resources to help get mentally ill and homeless individuals – who need shelter and treatment – the care they need to get off the streets.
